Finnigan’s Irish Red Ale is our latest partnership beer with our homebrew store neighbors, Micro Homebrew. Brewed from their recipe on the Cairn small batch system, this Red presents an initial caramel sweetness, a biscuity palate and a touch of roasted dryness on the finish. Irish Ales are malty, smooth, medium-bodied, and most are a deep copper-red color that is created by a blend of specialty malts. Hop character is low, and this beer comes across as toasty with subtle caramel notes. The deep copper/red color is its signature and gives this ale its name. Reds are immensely drinkable, a definite crowd--pleaser.
