The Homebrewer Series: Part 1 Learn to Homebrew (Extract Brewing) Sunday, February 9th 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. @ Cairn Brewing in Kenmore, WA
A full comprehensive entry-level brewing class series designed to show the first time homebrewer the entire beer making process. This introductory class will cover malt extract brewing, transferring, bottling and more. We will cover basic brewing terms, the use of specialty grains, hops, yeast, malt extract, sanitization, fermentation, plus the vast history of brewing. If you've been interested in making your own beer, this class is for you! No brewing experience is necessary.
During this class, we’ll brew a batch of beer so you can visually see the process from beginning to end. We will boil, and chill a 5 gallon batch of beer with Q & A throughout the live demonstration. The focus will be on the basics of brewing, along with some "tips" to help the first timer avoid common brewing mistakes. In addition, we’ll venture through humanity’s history of brewing and learn why beer became the cornerstone of our past.
